Consio + Gorgias Integration : How it works

Who is this for? Shopify merchants and support teams who want every phone call captured in Gorgias with AI summaries, voicemail logs, and one-click access to call details.

Prerequisites

  • Admin access to Consio

  • Admin (or permissioned) access to Gorgias to install apps

  • A working Consio number or call flow for test calls


Step 1 - Install from Consio

  1. In Consio , go to Settings/integrations and search for Consio.

  2. Search for Gorgias

  3. Click Install.


Step 2 - Make a Test Call


  1. Place a quick inbound test call to your Consio number (or trigger a short outbound call).

  2. Hang up after a few seconds; optionally leave a voicemail.

  3. In Gorgias, confirm a new ticket was created. You should see:

    • Call direction (Inbound/Outbound) and timestamp

    • Caller details (attached if matched)

    • AI call summary as a message

    • Voicemail logged as a message (if you left one)

    • A “View in Consio” deep link to open the full call record


Troubleshooting

  • No ticket created after a call

    • Re-open Consio → Integrations → Gorgias and ensure Create ticket on completed call is enabled.

    • Reconnect the integration (Auth might have expired).

  • Caller not attached

    • Make sure the phone/email exists on a Gorgias customer profile.

  • “Account is required” page during install

    • Sign into Consio first, then click Install again from the Gorgias App Store.


FAQs

Does it work if my team is offline?

Yes. The AI voice agent can answer 24/7; tickets, summaries, and voicemails will still flow into Gorgias.

Can I disable auto-creation for certain calls?

Yes. Use Consio’s integration settings and rules to limit when tickets are created or which tags/queues are used.

How are revenues tracked?

Calls, summaries, and Shopify events live on the same timeline in Consio; your team can attribute sales from call to checkout.

What permissions does Gorgias request?

Minimum scopes to create tickets, post messages, and read/write customers. You’ll review and approve during OAuth.


Security & Privacy

  • OAuth 2.0 connection between Consio and Gorgias

  • Access tokens stored encrypted; revoked automatically on uninstall

  • Only the data needed to create/update tickets and messages is shared
