Connecting Shopify & Klaviyo to Consio

How to connect your Shopify store and Klaviyo account to Consio — 1-click integrations that power campaigns, AI agent actions, and revenue attribution.

Before you start

  • You need admin access to your Shopify store

  • You need admin access to your Klaviyo account (if using Klaviyo segments)

  • Have your Shopify store URL and Klaviyo login credentials ready

Why these integrations matter

Shopify and Klaviyo are the two data sources that power most of Consio's features:

Integration

What it enables

Shopify

AI agent order lookups, draft orders, returns, product catalog sync, abandoned checkout segments, revenue attribution

Klaviyo

Advanced customer segments (winback, VIP, reorder), behavioral targeting, multi-channel coordination

Shopify is required for most functionality. Klaviyo is recommended but optional — you can run campaigns with Shopify segments alone.

Connecting Shopify

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations

  2. Find Shopify and click Connect

  3. You'll be redirected to Shopify to authorize the connection

  4. Approve the permissions — Consio needs read access to orders, customers, products, and checkouts

  5. You'll be redirected back to Consio with the integration active

What syncs automatically

Once connected, Consio pulls from your Shopify store in real time:

  • Product catalog — names, variants, pricing, images (used by AI agent for product guidance)

  • Order data — order status, tracking numbers, shipping addresses (used by AI for order lookups)

  • Customer profiles — name, email, phone, purchase history (shown in dialer during calls)

  • Abandoned checkouts — Consio auto-creates a Shopify segment called "Consio - Abandoned Checkouts - 15 days"

How to verify it worked

After connecting, go to Campaigns > Create Campaign > Segment dropdown. You should see the "Consio - Abandoned Checkouts - 15 days" segment. If it doesn't appear within 2 hours, disconnect and reconnect Shopify in Settings > Integrations.

Connecting Klaviyo

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations

  2. Find Klaviyo and click Connect

  3. You'll be redirected to Klaviyo to authorize the connection

  4. Approve the permissions

  5. You'll be redirected back to Consio with the integration active

What syncs

  • All your Klaviyo segments become available as campaign audiences in Consio

  • Segments re-sync every 2 hours — new contacts added to a segment appear in Consio within 2 hours

How to verify it worked

After connecting, go to Campaigns > Create Campaign > Segment dropdown. Your Klaviyo segments should appear alongside Shopify segments. If they don't appear, wait for the next 2-hour sync cycle, then check Settings > Integrations to confirm the connection is active.

Note: New Klaviyo segments evaluate your existing profile data as soon as they are created, so you do not need to wait for them to fill. Check the segment's conditions and member count in Klaviyo, then give Consio up to 2 hours to sync it.

Troubleshooting

Shopify connection fails: Verify you have admin access to the Shopify store. If you're on a Shopify plan that restricts API access, contact Shopify support.

Klaviyo segments not appearing: Wait for the 2-hour sync. If they still don't show, disconnect and reconnect Klaviyo in Settings > Integrations.

AI agent can't look up orders: Shopify must be connected. Check Settings > Integrations to confirm. If connected but still failing, contact your Consio account manager.

Multiple Shopify stores: The AI agent syncs from one Shopify store. If you have multiple stores, contact support to configure which store to use.
