How to port your number from Dialpad to Consio

Transfer your existing Dialpad phone number to Consio while keeping your current business number.

Before you start

Before submitting your porting request, make sure:

  • Your Dialpad account is still active.

  • The phone number you want to transfer is active.

  • Your Dialpad account is in good standing.

  • You have company admin and office admin access in Dialpad.

  • You have access to your Dialpad billing information.

  • You do not cancel your Dialpad subscription before the port is completed.

Cancelling your Dialpad account too early can prevent the number from being transferred.

Information you’ll need from Dialpad

Prepare the following information before starting your port request:

Port-out PIN

You’ll need a 4-digit port-out PIN from Dialpad.

Only company and office admins can generate this PIN.

To get it:

  1. Go to dialpad.com/portout

  2. Log in to your Dialpad account

  3. Enter the phone number you want to port

  4. Click Get PIN number

  5. Dialpad will generate your 4-digit PIN

Account number

Your Dialpad account number is typically 10–16 digits and may be your phone number or Dialpad ID.

You can check your account information under:

Profile settings → Personal information

We recommend confirming the correct account number with Dialpad support before submitting the port request.

Billing address

Provide the billing address associated with your Dialpad account.

The information should match Dialpad’s records exactly.

Proof of ownership

You may be asked to provide a recent Dialpad invoice or billing statement showing your account details.

You can provide:

  • A downloaded PDF

  • A screenshot

  • A photo of the billing statement

How to port your Dialpad number to Consio

1. Verify your admin access

Make sure you have both company admin and office admin permissions in Dialpad.

Regular users cannot generate the port-out PIN.

2. Generate your port-out PIN

Go to dialpad.com/portout, enter the phone number being transferred, and generate your 4-digit PIN.

3. Gather your account information

Collect your account number, billing address, phone number, and port-out PIN.

Make sure all information matches Dialpad’s records exactly.

4. Download a recent Dialpad bill

Save a recent invoice, screenshot, or PDF showing your Dialpad account information.

5. Submit your porting request to Consio

Start the number porting process with Consio and provide the requested Dialpad account information and documentation.

Incorrect or mismatched information can cause delays, so double-check everything before submitting.

6. Keep using Dialpad while the port is processed

Your existing number should continue working through Dialpad until the transfer is completed.

Do not cancel your Dialpad service while the request is being processed.

7. Wait for confirmation from Consio

We’ll let you know if additional information is required and confirm once the number has successfully moved to Consio.

How long does it take?

Dialpad number ports typically take around 1–2 weeks when all information is correct.

Timelines can vary depending on the number type, carrier requirements, and whether additional verification is needed.

What admin permissions do I need?

You must be both a company admin and office admin in Dialpad to generate the port-out PIN.

Regular users cannot access the porting portal.

Should I use my phone number or Dialpad ID as the account number?

Either may be used depending on your Dialpad account.

To avoid delays, we recommend checking your account information in Dialpad and confirming the correct account number with Dialpad support before submitting your request.

Can I port numbers from multiple Dialpad offices?

Yes. However, you’ll need admin access for each office, and numbers from different offices may require separate porting requests.

What happens to my Dialpad integrations and call recordings?

Only the phone numbers included in your porting request are transferred.

Your Dialpad integrations will not transfer to Consio automatically, and your existing call recordings remain with Dialpad.

Export any important information you want to keep before completing the switch.

Should I cancel Dialpad before porting?

No. Keep your Dialpad account and phone numbers active until Consio confirms that the port has been completed successfully.

Cancelling your Dialpad service before the transfer is finished could delay the process or make the number unavailable for porting.
