How to port your number from Zoom Phone to Consio

Transfer your existing Zoom Phone number to Consio while keeping your current business number.

Before you start

Before submitting your porting request, make sure:

  • Your Zoom Phone account is still active.

  • The phone number you want to transfer is active.

  • Your Zoom Phone account is in good standing.

  • You have access to your account and billing information.

  • You have a recent Zoom Phone bill or invoice available.

  • You do not cancel your Zoom Phone service before the port is completed.

Cancelling your Zoom Phone account too early can prevent or delay the number transfer.

Information you’ll need from Zoom Phone

Prepare the following information before starting your port request:

Phone number

Have the phone number or numbers you want to transfer ready.

Use the full international format when possible.

Example:

+1 416 555 0123

Account information

Make sure you have the account details associated with the phone numbers you want to port.

Depending on your account and number type, additional information such as a PIN, RIO, or BTN may be required.

Billing address

Provide the full registered address associated with your Zoom Phone account.

The information should match Zoom Phone’s records exactly.

Proof of ownership

You may be asked to provide a recent Zoom Phone invoice or billing statement showing your account details.

You can provide:

  • A downloaded PDF

  • A screenshot

  • A copy of your recent bill

How to port your Zoom Phone number to Consio

1. Make sure your Zoom Phone account is active

Your account and phone numbers should remain active throughout the porting process.

Do not cancel your Zoom Phone service before the transfer is complete.

2. Gather your account information

Collect the phone numbers you want to transfer, your account information, registered address, and recent billing documentation.

3. Verify your information

Make sure the information you provide matches the details Zoom Phone has on file.

Incorrect or inconsistent information can cause delays during the porting process.

4. Download a recent Zoom Phone bill

Save a recent invoice, PDF, or screenshot showing your Zoom Phone account information.

5. Submit your porting request to Consio

Start the number porting process with Consio and provide the requested Zoom Phone account information and documentation.

We’ll review the request and let you know if anything else is required.

6. Keep using Zoom Phone while the port is processed

Your existing phone number should continue working with Zoom Phone until the transfer is completed.

Do not cancel your Zoom Phone account while the port is being processed.

7. Wait for confirmation from Consio

We’ll confirm once the transfer has been completed and your number is active with Consio.

How long does it take?

Zoom Phone number ports can take around 1–2 weeks, although the exact timeline varies.

The porting process depends on factors such as the number type, location, carrier requirements, and accuracy of the information provided.

Will my number keep working during the transfer?

Your number should remain active with Zoom Phone while the port is being processed.

Once the transfer is completed, the number will become active with Consio.

Can I port multiple Zoom Phone numbers?

Yes. If you have multiple Zoom Phone numbers you want to transfer, include all relevant numbers in your porting request.

Additional information or documentation may be required depending on the numbers being transferred.

Why can number porting take longer?

Porting requires coordination between your existing provider, the new provider, and the carriers involved.

Delays can happen when account details do not match, documentation is incomplete, or additional carrier verification is required.

Double-checking your information before submitting the request can help avoid delays.

What happens to my Zoom Phone data and configurations?

Porting transfers your phone number, not your entire Zoom Phone account.

Your Zoom Phone users, settings, integrations, call history, recordings, and other configurations do not automatically transfer to Consio.

Make sure you export any information you want to keep before closing your Zoom Phone account.

Should I cancel Zoom Phone before porting?

No. Keep your Zoom Phone account and phone numbers active until Consio confirms that the port has been completed successfully.

Cancelling your service before the transfer is finished could delay or prevent the port.
