Before submitting your porting request, make sure:
Your Vonage account is still active.
The phone number you want to transfer is active.
Your Vonage account is in good standing.
You have access to your Vonage account and billing information.
You have a recent Vonage bill or statement.
You do not cancel your Vonage service before the port is completed.

Prepare your:
Phone number
Account number

3. Verify your number can be ported
Make sure the number you want to transfer is eligible for porting.
Vonage supports different types of numbers, but portability can depend on the number type, location, and underlying carrier.
4. Verify your account information
Make sure all the information you provide matches Vonage’s records exactly.

We’ll review your request and let you know if anything else is required.
6. Keep using Vonage while the port is processed

Do not cancel your Vonage service while the request is being processed.
7. Wait for confirmation from Consio
We’ll confirm once the transfer has been completed and your number is active with Consio.
How long does it take?
Vonage number ports typically take around 1–2 weeks, although the exact timeline can vary depending on the number type, carrier requirements, and information provided.
Can I port multiple Vonage numbers?
Yes. You can include multiple Vonage numbers in a porting request.
Make sure you provide the required account information and documentation for every number being transferred.
What happens to my Vonage virtual numbers and extensions?
Virtual numbers and extensions associated with your main Vonage number do not automatically transfer with it.
Any additional phone numbers you want to keep may need to be included separately in your porting request.
What happens to my voicemail and call history?
Your Vonage voicemail messages and call history do not transfer to Consio with your phone number.
Download or save any important information before the port is completed.
Can I keep some numbers with Vonage?
Yes. You can choose which numbers you want to transfer to Consio.
Only the numbers included in your porting request will be moved.
Will porting affect my Vonage bundle?
It may. If your Vonage phone service is part of a bundle or contract, moving a number could affect your pricing or other services.
Check your Vonage agreement or contact Vonage before submitting the port request.
Should I cancel Vonage before porting?
No. Keep your Vonage account and phone numbers active until Consio confirms that the port has been completed successfully.
Cancelling your Vonage service before the transfer is finished could prevent the number from being ported and may result in losing it.
