Prerequisites
Admin access to Consio
Access to your Crisp workspace with permission to install plugins on your website
A working Consio number or call flow for test calls
No API key is needed. The connection is made through the Consio plugin for Crisp.
Step 1 - Connect Crisp from Consio
In Consio, go to Settings → Integrations.
Search for Crisp.
Click Connect.
You are redirected to Crisp. Select the website you want to connect.
Click Link Crisp with Consio, then Continue.
You are sent back to Consio. The Crisp integration now shows as connected, named after your Crisp website.
Step 2 - Make a test call
Place a quick inbound test call to your Consio number, or trigger a short outbound call.
Hang up after a few seconds. You can also leave a voicemail to test voicemail transcription.
In Crisp, confirm that a new conversation was created in your inbox.
The conversation should be titled:
Call with {Customer} on Consio
You should see:
The opening message "Phone call on Consio"
A private note with the customer, agent, duration, direction, phone line and a link to the call in Consio
The disposition and agent notes, once the call is logged
The AI summary and next steps, once they are ready
The voicemail transcript, if a voicemail was left
The segments consio and call
Step 3 - Send a test SMS
Send a text from your Consio number to a test phone, then reply from that phone.
In Crisp, confirm that a conversation titled SMS conversation with {Customer} on Consio was created.
Check that the reply from the test phone appears as the customer, and that the text sent from Consio appears as your agent.
A thread with no new message for 3 days opens a new conversation on the next text.
Troubleshooting
No conversation created after a call
Go to Consio → Settings → Integrations and check that Crisp shows as connected.
Make sure the call was fully completed and was not only ringing or abandoned before connection.
In Crisp, check that the Consio plugin is still installed on the right website. If not, reconnect from Consio.
Customer details missing on the Crisp contact
Consio adds the name, phone number and email it has for that customer. Check the customer profile in Consio.
Check that the phone number uses the correct international format. E.164 formatting is recommended.
Call details or summary not appearing
Allow a few moments for call processing and summarization to finish.
Confirm that the call lasted long enough to generate a transcript and summary.
The disposition appears once the call is logged in Consio.
A text sent from Consio appears twice
Replies sent from Consio are filed as agent messages and Crisp does not send them again. If you see a duplicate, contact support with the conversation link.
FAQs
Does it work if my team is offline?
Yes. The AI voice agent can answer 24/7, and conversations, summaries and voicemails still flow into Crisp.
Can I connect several Crisp websites?
Each connection links one Crisp website to your Consio workspace. The integration is named after that website in Settings → Integrations.
How do I disconnect Crisp?
Remove the Consio plugin from your Crisp website settings, or disconnect the integration from Consio → Settings → Integrations. New calls and texts stop syncing right away.
Security & Privacy
Secure connection through the official Consio plugin for Crisp
Access stored securely and encrypted by Consio
Only the data required to open conversations and add call and SMS information is shared
The plugin can be removed at any time from your Crisp website settings
